What should I do for my cat who has a fever and a dripping nose?

Go to the Vet. Upper respiratory infections set into a cat quickly and spread like wildfire. You can't treat it. Since the cat can't smell, it may stop eating, their appetite is smell driven. DO NOT try to medicate, human meds are fatal to pets.

A fever indicates that the cat has an infection and should be seen by a vet as soon as possible. Without treatment, usually with an antibiotic and fluid therapy, if necessary, infections can become systemic and may be fatal. A drippy nose, combined with a fever, is also indicative of an infection.

Might be an allergy or a cold; it is a good idea to take your cat to the vet for a well check up, especially with a fever, which can be dangerous. Or at least call your vet (who knows your cat's medical history), tell him or her the symptoms and ask whether she should be brought in.

Get your cat to the vet since it probably has what is called a kitty cold. You can't get the cold from the cat, because humans are immune to it.
