If you have severe knee pain after running you absolutely need to see an orthopedic doctor. You could have fluid build-up, bone spurs, arthritis or even your kneecap could be out of place. The more you ignore it the worse it will get.

Usually people apply some types of cream but it will not ease your pain. Dip a clean cloth in ice cold water, squeeze it and wrap around the knee.

knee pain has to treated immediately but contacting a physician and for avoiding future pains practicing yoga can be the best remedy.
