What should I do about my Maltese's bad dog behavior?

All dogs, regardless of breed, must be taught what is "good" behavior and what is not. Dogs are pack animals and need a strong leader (Alpha Dog, which is YOU) to encourage the right kinds of behavior. Read "How to Be Your Dog's Best Friend" by the Monks of Skete.

You should first start with trying to discipline him and train him yourself. You can always take him to dog obedience classes.

Depends what your dog is doing. If your dog is using your floor as a bathroom I suggest you take him out more frequently and kennel him at night.

You need to show the dog who is dominant, you do this by grabbing the free skin on the neck and pinching it between your thumb and index finger. Then you twist the skin just slightly and Force the animal to the ground. You Dog will feel as though you are overpowering him and it doesn't hurt
