It is so important to find a Veterinarian that you can work well with. You need to take the animals for a return visit to the Veterinarian for an antibiotic or a change in the antibiotic they are taking. Keeping the ear canal clean is important. This is accomplished with an cleaning solution from your Veterinarian or Veterinary supply store.

The best way to prevent ear infections is to keep the ears clean and dry. They should be cleaned often using a product specifically made for dogs. A prescription ear drop containing both antibiotic/antifungal and steroid can be used to take away the infection and lessen the itching and discomfort.

A good, natural way to treat ear infections is to brew some green tea and clean their ears with a cotton ball, not a Q-Tip, dipped in the tea after it has cooled. Do this twice a day. If your dog is being treated with anti-biotics, give them pro-biotics and also boost their immune system.

Change their diet, sometimes that helps. Another thing that you could do is maybe change where they sleep. Maybe they are getting too cold at night. I would reccomend taking them to the vet, the first antibotics may not have been the right meds for them.

If the dog's ear is emitting foul smell and discharge it then it could be the symptoms for the ear infections. It's better to contact a vet. There are several ear care products that will help the dogs to recover from the ear infection.
