If your child is lethargic then you should have been at the doctor a while ago instead of asking this question. Take him to the doctor as soon as you can get in. Green stool doesn't always indicate something bad but any type of lethargy usually means something just isn't right.

The fact that the baby is lethargic is more concerning than the baby having green stool. You need to take the baby to his/her doctor, or to the local emergency room as soon as you can. Make sure that you write down any medications that you took, and the things that you ate. These things are in your milk.

While it is normal for breastfed babies to have yellowish or even greenish stools, the lethargy is a concern. Don't waste time getting to the doctor, especially if the baby has a fever or other symptoms.
