The only thing to consider is if you can feed them and have a large enough area for them as they can take up as much space as a large dog. They make great pets and are very smart.

First you should consider what type of pig you'd like. Some areas do not residents to own pigs. Next, you'd need to determine where you'd keep your big and if you have enough room. Thirdly, you'd need to exam your finances and see if you can afford a pig.

Pigs are extremely intelligent and clean animals. You will need to pig proof you home. Pigs are like kids, they will put anything in their mouth. They will get into your cabinets to eat candy, cereal etc.

I always wanted a pot belly pig because I thought they would stay small. I lived in an apartment and thought it would be better option then having a dog. Then I learned that that tiny baby pig was going to be the size of a large dog. Your pig needs plenty of room to grow.

They don't stay small forever. They need room to move around. They eat a lot of food and can be pretty costly.
