What rights do grandparents have in Vermont?

My son is in prison and the mother of his children won't let us see the kids.

Grandparents can visit their son if they want, the mother can not legally forbid you if you want to visit your son. You can report the incident to police if she don't want to talk with you about it.

Grandparents in Vermont can request visitation if a parent is "deceased, physically or mentally incapable of making a decision or has abandoned the child" according do an overview of the law in that state. The court considers what is in the best interest of the child, including emotional ties to the grandparents.
