What response should I have if we had a bad break up and now he wants to be friends?

My ex and I had a really bad breakup two months ago and now he wants to be friends, I am not sure I can forgive him for all that he did.

If you feel that you can't forgive him for what he has done, and you feel like you could never feel comfortable around him, then it is best not to be friends. It may seem harsh, but you need to think about your emotional health.

You no longer have a relationship with this person, and you owe him nothing. You should look at things objectively; if you think that the benefits of being his friend are worth the emotional toll, then do it. If not, tell him you are not interested. His desires no longer matter; you need to put yourself first.

If you don't think that you can have a civil friend relationship with him without always bringing up the past tell him that you would rather not be friends because the bad breakup has left open wounds.
