What kind of jobs did people have in the 1700s?

Farming was very common back then. Many farmed cotton, tobacco, etc. Another job in the United States was politics. Others were craftsmen, such as carpenters and furniture makers. Each person had a trade.

there were lots of different obs back then, for example,.. Tobacco farming. Masonry revolutionary military... Blacksmiths, bakers, bankers, doctors, teachers, lawyers, shopkeepers, masonry, carpenters and it may not be as many as nowadays though.
