Christmas was created because most Christians say this is the day that Jesus was born. It WAS created to celebrate the birth of Christ but over the years the meaning has gotten lost. Most children grow up these days not even knowing that Christmas isn't about food and gifts, it's about Jesus.

It is a celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the true Son of God and that He sent him to redeem us from our sins. He was born in a manger. He is God but suffered and died as a Man.

It can mean different things to different people but they all mostly come back to the same thing. This is a celebration of Jesus Christ, a time when we give with our hearts. We are giving our time, our friendship, and our love to those we care about.
