You first have to find out why your urine output has decreased. If it is some kind of obstruction, you may need surgical intervention to remove the blockage. If it is caused by kidney insufficency or failure your doctors will put you in the hospital to find the cause.

The treatment for decreased urine output depends on the cause. If your feet look like footballs, it is time to see a physician. Check the color of your urine as well. It would be wise to measure the liquids you are drinking, pudding, jello intake as wells as measure the urine that you are putting out. Then, call your doctor.

Drink more water and avoid salty food. Eating salty food can make your body retain the water due to the increased amount of sodium in your body.
