Racketeering is a federal matter and is covered under the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970, specifically under the section: Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, otherwise referred to as RICO. Federal courts have ruled that there is a 5-year SOL on racketeering, although the courts differ on how that period is defined.

Racketeering would fall under the purveyance of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. That is a federal, rather than a state, law. Racketeering would involve interstate commerce and, thus, violate federal law. As such, it doesn't appear that Louisiana has a statute of limitations dealing with racketeering.

Racketeering is a class c felony and it carries a high jail time. If you are accused of it you can get up to 20 years. The statute for that crime is probably run out in about ten years as long as they can not prove an on going conspiracy.

Statute of limitation on rackertering is five years for criminal action. For civil actions, statute of limitation is four years. Can vary with multiple crimes that create pattern over years.
