I would say that alcohol and marriage are not linked together. In fact, alcohol is an issue that destroys marriages. Marriages are based around love, trust, and commitment, when alcohol is consumed by a spouse, they are no longer dependable nor are they able to remain committed. Alcohol and marriage do not mix well!

Research has shown the single men drink more than married men. Beyond that, I would guess that married people overall drink less because they've left the bar or dating scene.

Alcohol should be avoided except for celebration, and intimate moments with your loved one. Know getting drunk without your spouse can mean you doing unforgettably things, and possible unforgivable.

No good can come from a marriage that involves someone drinking. It slowly comes between the couple and eventually the drinker is married to the alcohol, not their spouse.

There should be no relationship between alcohol and marriage. I think that's a bad foundation and a bad association of the two.
