Recovery time depends on your age, physical condition, general health and the extent of the surgery. The best estimate of recovery time will come from your physician.

Usually recovery from surgery if it is ordered for outpatient, laproscropic, then the recovery time is only a few days and you should be back to work with no problems. All you should expect is to be sore a little and maybe a little nausea for a few days. Get plenty of rest.

Recovery time always depends on the individual patient, but you should begin to feel back to normal within a few days. For four to six weeks, you will not be able to perform any strenuous activities or exercise. Recovery time may also vary depending on the specific hernia procedure that is to be used in your surgery.
