What is the purpose of sports bars?

Sports bars have multiple big screen televisions that are tuned to different games that are being played. Most of the customers ignore the games, but they are there for those that are interested. Most people just enjoy the atmosphere.

Essentially, sports bars aren't much different than normal bars, in that the primary focus is going to be drinking. The only difference is that the television focus in the bar is sports, and the menu is essentially your typical "bar" food, which in both cases, caters primarily to men which sports bars do.
