It's a vaccine against the pneumococcal bacteria and it's given to children under 2 years of age. Streptococcus pneumoniae causes wide range of diseases, most often with lung symptoms, and the purpose of the vaccine is to prevent such events at the youngest population since they do not have sufficient immunity. The first dosage is given the second month.
