What is the point of wearing a see-through bra?

I guess the main reason you would wear a see-through bra is when you wear a very sheer color shirt like a very sheer white colored shirt you can not see the bra or the lines that would show up with a regular bra that is my best guess why you would wear one.

I imagine the point is to be sexy or kinky if people SEE the bra, or to surprise people. I think a lot of people would find that look tacky. Also some of the gel bras that might be see-through are made out of a material that allows you not to have straps.
