Pentacostalism is a branch of Protestant Christianity which places special emphasis on the need for a believer to experience Christ and God directly by being born again through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues, like the early followers of Christ were able to do after the Resurrection, is part if the doctrine of some groups.
