Economics is the study of the exchange of goods and services between individuals and groups. For a large group, it is call macroeconomics.

Economics is fundamentally concerned with the most efficient allocation of scarce resources given almost unlimited demand for those resources. What are the most effective economic mechanisms for allocating those finite resources. Economics also seeks to arrive at these answers using the latest statistical and mathematical techniques, not merely through abstract conjecture.
