What is the moral conscience?

I need to understand moral conscience and moral character, are they one and the same?

The moral conscience is the voice in your head that tells you when something is the wrong. Your moral character is how often you listen to the voice.

one with a moral conscience is due in part to having a moral character, conducting oneself in an upright manner. Ones moral conscience is the voice within that accuses or excuses thus acting as a witness bear to the choice of conduct we choose to engage in.
