In 2006, a NC Superior Court ruled that the state's law barring the cohabitation of unmarried couples is unconstitutional. The ruling blocked state officials from enforcing the law.

Back in 2005, North Carolina was one of seven states that still outlawed unmarried couples living together. And while the law is still on the books, a court case in 2006 found that cohabitation laws were unconstitutional. The law is rarely enforced any more but should you encounter a problem, you should consult an attorney to fight it.

No states have laws against cohabitation. It is legal for two people to live together and the law cannot regulate this under most circumstances.

Well you have to be of legal age to cohabitate with someone. You have to be around 18 that is.
