Question by  crmn (34)

What is the highest GPA you can possibly get?

I've heard of students receiving higher than a 4.0 GPA, but I thought that a 4.0 was the highest possible score.

Some schools have advanced classes that are weighted so that an "A" is considered 5. 0, a B is 4. 0, etc.

The highest GPA is a 4. 0, but only on a 4. 0 scale. There are a few high schools (and perhaps colleges) that use a 5. 0 scale.

On a regular grading scale, the highest GPA is a 4.0. This can be higher if a student chooses to take and excels in AP (Avanced Placement) courses.

On a standard scale 4. 0 is the highest GPA you can get, however some schools and classes weight their grades meaning that if got a 4. 0 it could actually be higher then that causing you to get a higher then 4. 0 grade.

There are some cases where a student excels to a 4.5 gpa. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to studies, and going beyond the normal student.

The highest GPA that you can possibly get is a 4.0. Once you go into college it is possible to get a 5.0. College grading scales are different than high school scales.
