What is the food chain like in Africa?

I am doing a school report, and I am also very curious is larger animals eat people in Africa?

It is much like the food chain in the rest of the world. That is to say that the carnivores eat the herbivores and the large and fast animals eat the small and slow animals. Notwithstanding the variety of large animals in Africa, the instances of animals eating humans are rare and most frequently result from the animal feeling threatened.

Some of those animals see us and think "Lunch" lol. The big cats (tigers, lions), anacondas, hyenas (in defense), pythons and hippopotamus have all been documented for attacking and/or killing humans and sometimes having us for a snack! Many times the attack is for defense purposes though.

If you tried looking for tigers in Africa you would have to go to a zoo. They do not exist in the wild. Tigers are native to Asia.  add a comment
