The Episcopal Church is the American offspring of the Church of England, related to other churches reconstituted following British colonialism. During the reign of Queen Elizabeth I the English Church resolved Protestant-Catholic problems by saying "yes" eg Is Communion really the Body of Christ or in remembrance of Him? Yes!

The Episcopal Church is a sect of Christianity that was once part of the Church of England. Parts of the Anglican practices are still incorporated into Episcopal practices such as anointing, yet also has some practices that are predominantly Protestant.
