What is the difference between market value and cash value?

Do I need to hire a professional to help me?

Market value is what something sells for in the retail market. Cash value is what a dealer would pay for that same product, usually 50% of market value.

Market value generally means "retail sale" value = what you would get if you were operating a store selling items. Cash value is how much a dealer would pay for your item right now, in prospect of making a profit - usually about half the market value.
