It can be hard to tell the difference, but a crush is fleeting and can be onesided. Being in love is more lasting.

In love implies that you truly care for someone after getting to know them. A crush is caring for someone based on limited interaction, initial perceptions, and their physical appearance.

A crush on another generally develops as an immediate, aching desire to have something that is out of reach. The recipient unawares can be someone that is known or merely known of. Love on the other hand develops over time between two compatible people, from nothing to affection and devotion.

A crush is like having an attraction to a person, but being in love involves a much deeper emotion of the heart. Sometimes love starts out as a crush, and develops to a higher level. Either way, you want to be with the special person, and may find them to be your best friend.

I think a crush is pretty much when you feel attracted physically to someone and also you get that excited that you wanna get to know more that person, besides you can't stop thinking about them. Being in love is a deep feeling.
