What is the definition of "deities"?

I saw it in a religious pamphlet, if you need context.

The Latin word for "god" is Deo/Dei, thus, the root "de-" refers to divine beings. The term includes any god, e.g., Yahweh, Vishnu, Allah, Zeus, Horus, Oden, etc.

"Dei" is the Latin word for "God" or "god." Deities = gods. Ex: "The Hindu faith includes a number of deities."
