The pod type moving systems are far cheaper than using van rentals. You rent a box unit, fill it, call and it is moved and you pay no gasoline. You do not pay per mile.

The cheapest truck rental is usually U-Haul. Depending on where you live they are excellent. If you are moving across town it could only cost about $ 19. 95 a day.

There are a lot of factors involved in selecting the best moving truck. It depends on how far you are moving and what gas prices are. If you are moving one way, you definatly want to use a big national company like Uhaul or Ryder.

The absolutely cheapest way to move with a truck is to find a friend with a pickup truck who is willing to make several trips and either refuse to take any money or just enough to cover gas. Almost everyone knows someone with a pickup truck who is willing to help out a friend in need.

It depends on how far you are moving. But locally uhaul has a deal for 19. 95 for a day on a small truck but you still pay for mileage after you use the initial amount included in the rental.
