The Akita, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound, Mastiff, Saint Bernard, and Anatolian Shepherds are amongst the largest dogs in the world. Record is a 343lb., 8ft. long English Mastiff named Zorba.

The Saint Bernard and Mastiff are generally considered the biggest dog breeds (150-200 lbs). My neighbor has a Greater Swiss Mountain dog which looks similar to a Saint Bernard. He is about 2 years old and weighs 125 pounds. They are beautiful dogs and have a good temperament but also require daily exercise.

In terms of height, Great Danes are usually the biggest dog. If height and build (i.e. mass) is included, the English Mastiff would be biggest. Other very big dogs include the Saint Bernard, Irish Wolfhound, Anatolian Shepherd and Kurdish Kangal.

The biggest bread of dog is a Great Dane, AKA the Scooby Doo dog. Great Danes can stand very tall- like 4 feet!

It would be the Old English Bull Mastiff dog. It is huge and he is a good protector of his family. These dogs look like they could be a miniature horse in a way. Very broad and wide and not something that a lot of people want to mess with. They are the sweetest dogs around though.

You didn`t say whether you meant heaviest or tallest. Some of the heaviest breeds include Saint Bernards, Mastiffs, Neopolitan Mastiffs, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, Newfoundlands, and Kuvasz. Some of the taller breeds include Great Danes, Scottish Deerhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, and the Greyhounds. It is best to investigate any breed before deciding to get one to make sure if you will like it.
