If it is really a virus it will need to run its course. The best thing is to simply drink a lot of fluids, get plenty of rest and eat lightly.

Are you sure they are viruses and not bacteria in the first place? Basically you don't treat viruses, you can only treat bacteria with antibiotics, but then you need to remember to restore your natural bacteria flora.

The first thing would be to figure out what exact virus you are getting by going to the doctor and try to eliminate the spread of it by doing things like disinfecting the house. Also, make sure to stay on antibiotics for as long as they are prescribed.

Just be sure to drink plenty of water and the virus should run it's course over 24 hours. If it lasts longer or you become dehydrated you must see your doctor. Washing hands and utensils is a great preventative measure.

There isn't really much you can do except to wait it out. Try to replace fluids that are being lost to avoid dehydration. Over the counter medications may give you temporary relief from symptoms but a doctor will usually tell you that your body is ridding itself naturally of the virus.

There are no really effective anti-viral medications so it is best to build your own immune system by eating lots of fruit, vegetables and daily yogurt. Avoid fatty foods.
