Patience is the main ingredient no matter what method you use. If it's a larger area with heavy overspray: Apply paint thinner or paint remover to brick. Let stand for 30 minutes, then use a hard brush to scrub. Repeat if necessary. For small area with fine overspray: I've used a sanding sponge with good results. Rinse off area.

The best way to remove spraypaint would be to use a paint thinner. You can put some on a rag and then run the brick with it and it should come off. You can also try pressure washing it off with a form of cleaner mixed in with the water.

In most cases, a wire brush will take most of the paint off of the brick. If you're careful, it'll give you the best result (you'll never know there was paint). If you buy a paint thinner or removing compound, test it first as it could damage the brick.

Try a commercial spray paint remover. Because it is a porous surface it will be hard to scrub off though. You may want to try pressure washing instead.
