The best way in terms of distance and travel time would be to use Interstate 90 East. According to Google Maps, it is an 800 mile trip with travel time of approximately 12 hours and 56 mins. This is basically all highway routes, so it is quite a bit faster than taking local roads.

It is about 800 miles from Seattle to Yellowstone. Head East on Interstate 90, plan to spend the night in Kellogg Idaho. The next day drive through Butte to Yellowstone.

You'll start out going east on I-90 until you get to the Bozeman, Montana area -- roughly 660 miles. Before Bozeman, at exit 298, you'll turn right (south) and follow signs for state route 85, leading to U. S. 191 going south. This leads straight to Yellowstone.

Will you fly or drive? I would fly to Jackson Hole or Cody and rent a car. Jackson Hole is south of Yellowstone, so you will drive through Grand Teton National Park. Cody is east of Yellowstone with a gorgeous scenic route to the east entrance.

Well the best way to get there depends on your preferences. If you like to travel on the road, then you can drive down. It is about 800 miles away.

To get to Yellowstone National Park from Seattle, drive east on I-90 until you are just past Bozeman, Montana. When you get to Livingston, MT, head south on US 89. This will take you to the North Entrance of the park.
