There are a whole bunch of apple slicers available now. They are inexpensive and work well. You just wash the apple, put it on a plate, and then press down with this specially-designed cutter. You end up with a cored apple, and 8 or 10 perfect apple slices to enjoy.

Eat the apple from one side to the other, *without* rotating the apple and eat the core. The core is tasty!

Reply by Kinetic (47):
I usually eat the core myself, so I don't have anything to throw away, but I have read that apple seed actually have a little bit of cyanide in them. Your body can tolerate a little of this, but I wouldn't eat too many cores if you can avoid it.  add a comment

Use a knife. For efficiency hold the cut piece between the base of your thumb and knife and eat it from there. Just be careful not to poke yourself with the knife!

Holding the apple at either end of the core with on hand and biting the apple in the center while rotating it on it's core-axis. Then follow the same method on each end that you created. Discard the core.

Use an apple corer, which removes the core and segments the fruit. This method insures you won't be biting into any type of foreign object.
