Don't just describe your duties. Be specific about your achievements with the job. For example, describe how you were an asset to your company. That is, describe any valuable conributions you gave to your company.

If you are in an interview for a new position and are asked a question about your experience with a previous job, it is always a good idea to be as positive as you can. If there was a major issue which resulted in your leaving that prior job you can speak on it but still, positive is best.

List skills or competencies that you either exercised or gained. Describe what you actually did, with a strong emphasis on action words. For example, state "created budget analysis and annual finanical reports", not "did reports for finance department". If there were no competencies, state what you actually did and skills gained on the job.

List any skills you got from that job, list any training (EX Use of Cash Register) and do not forget to list any and all certifications you received at this job.
