What is the best diet for gymnasts?

A high protein and complex carbohydrates diet would be ideal. They should be eating about 6 meals a day heavy on the carbs before working out, and heavy on protein after working out. Also they should consume muscle recovery drinks such as whey protein after working out. And before bed they should consume a serving of casein protein.

A diet in whole grains, high in protien, high in fiber and high in vitamins and neutrients is ideal for gymnasts.
