A signet cell carcinoma is a type of cancer. Commonly known as "signet ring" for the way it looks under a microscope, it is a very aggressive form of adenocarcinoma.

Signet cell carsanoma is a malignancy chacterized by the appearance of signet ring cells. This type of cancer cell in usually seen in stomach cancer but it can also appear with bladder, prostate, gallbladder or in many other tissues that are malignant. The cells look like signet rings thus their name.
