Chemically removing a tree stump is much easier than a grinder. The type of chemical that needs to be used is one that is high in nitrates.

To chemically remove a stump, drill a 6-inch hole angled towards the center. Then, fill the hole with salt and cover with mulch.

There are chemicals that dry out the tree stump, but they are not good for the enviroment. Call a tree removal company and ask who they use to do this. They come out grind the stump and leave the remains. Dry this out throughly and use it as mulch in your garden.
