Take about a six inch cutting and strip the leaves from the bottom portion. Coat the lower end with any rooting compound from your local garden store. Thoroughly wet soil, and bury the cutting about an inch deep. Cover the whole works with clear plastic and give it indirect light. Check for roots in two weeks with a gentle tug.

You must first get the soil ready for accepting blueberries. One of the easiest ways is to till in pine needles to the soil. Give the needles some time to decompose. Then you can stick a live or dormant cutting of the plant into the soil.

The process is very similar to other plants. You trim about 3-6 inches of the plant, remove the bottom leaves, and place the remainder in moist potted soil. Most people use a mix of soil and sand. The plants will then take route within a couple of weeks and you can start planting them.
