One of the few things you will need is. the pebbles for the bottem of the tank. Another would be the water pump to clean, and make sure the water is clear so the fish can live well. you also mite want to get a thermoter to make sure the tem is right all the time.

All new aquariums need to be "cycled" (ran without yet adding fish) for a period of two to four weeks to balance out pH and Ammonia levels. After cycling, fish may be added a few at a time. Supply plenty of rocks and hiding places, and ensure proper pH levels and water temperature.

It takes some work to set up the aquarium. One needs at least a 20 gallon aquarium, gravel, heater, air pump, sponge filter, airtight cover, thermometer, chlorine free water at a temp of 74-82 degrees and a ph 7. 5-8/5 and food. One should prepare the tank 24 hours in advance to time to fix ph or temp issues. Add cichild.
