Cosequin Bonelets have done wonders for our flat-coated/golden retriever mix. He's 7 years old with joint problems, and since he started taking Cosequin, he's been acting like a puppy again!

The two main reasons a dog's knees get sore are age and obesity. If it is age-related, giving the dog glucosamine and chondroiten will help heal the cartlige. Pain medication can also help. If the dog is overweight, finding a more reasonable diet, with the help of your vet, is key to relieving pain.

Most of the people make the mistake that when dealing with sore knees try to keep the dog as passive as possible! Thats the biggest mistake you cam make..... Daily exercise, healthy balance food with extra added calcium and glucosamine-chondroitin supplement is the only solution!

You can give the Chondroition with Glucosamine for dogs, you can get this at the Pet store or at your vet. You can also manage his or her weight as to not put too much pressure on his or her knee's. You should consult with your Vet always first before making a decision like this.

Our 12-year-old dog gets Glyco-FlexII supplement and Nutro Ultra Weight Mgmt food for day-to-day. Nails are always short to prevent sliding, and we give Rimadyl for pain as needed.

A dog with sore knees will need plenty of rest and a soft place to do it in. This will allow the knees time to recover.

If you have a dog with sore knees, the best thing to do is take them to a vet to find out why the dog's knees are sore. It probably injured itself.
