Flowers of sulphur(also known as brimstone because of its derivation from sulphur)is nowadays used mostly in powder form to protect animals, plants and even people from hamful fungus or bacterial infection. It is dusted over the desired area or sometimes made into an ointment for wounds.

Flowers of sulfur also known as a buckwheat plant is used in traditional medicine as well as alternative medicine in humans and animals and alchemy. It also can be used as a parasitical treatment of chronic and acute ailments. Mexican and Native Americans used an infusion of the flowers as an eyewash to shrink the uterus.
