Some symptoms are bloody loose stool and diarrhea. Early detection is very important. Also vomiting and loss of appitite is very common. If the tyroid gland is affected then it will result in weight gain. Suppressent drugs and steriods are a way to cure this disorder.

Most commonly known as Acquired Myasthenia Gravis, a very disabling disorder where your immune system literally becomes your worst enemy by attacking itself.. It can be treated. It messes up the communication between the dogs muscles and nerves. Dogs affected by this generaally become fatigued easily and can develop issues like difficulty swallowing breathing,eating,walking, or even become totally immobolized.

There are many different kinds of autoimmune disorders in dogs. The most common one that affects a lot of different canine groups including but not limited to Boxers, Beagles, Cocker Spaniels, Akitas, German shepards,and Irish Setters just to name a few is Canine Hypothyroidism. Vaccines and inadequate or excess dietary iodine are the primary suspected causes.
