Also known as paddlefish, a spoonbill fish is recognized for its large mouth and its elongated snout called a rostrum or bill. The bill comprises half the length of their body much like the long sword nose of a shark. But, these fish are in no way related to sharks even though their skeletons and fins do resemble such creatures.

Spoon bill fish is found in Mississipi drainage system that is left from the age of the dinasours & it is also called as paddle fish. Spoon bill fish consists of numerous fine teeth,but the jaws become large,feeble. It's body is scale less & it look seems paddle like snout,long gill covers & shark like body form
