I would not let a ten year old lift any type of weights. At this age I would put the child on a program that only permits the child to lift his or her own weight. For example, push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, and leg squats are great exercises that a child can use to build strength.

I wouldn't recommend this, as his muscles are still developing. If he wants to do some pushups and situps, that is fine, but I would leave it at that.

A ten year old boy should not be lifting weights as their bodies have not matured enough to maintain stability. Young boys can get severely injured.

You need to be a little more educated before you make a blanket statement that "boys can get severely injured" from lifting weights. It is true that young boys may not build muscle mass from but they will get stronger with no adverse affects. Do the research. Read a book  add a comment

It is not fine for a ten year old boy to life weights as it would deteriorate his health to a certian extent. Untill he reches the pubert stage it is not advisable for him to life any weights.
