The Rhoeo plant has many aliases. It is also known as Moses in the Cradle, Moses in a Basket, and the Boat Lily. This is a plant that does great in dryer climates and is often grown as a hearty ground cover. It does not grow well in very wet climates.

Oyster plant (genus Rheo) can be a white-flowered hanging-basket plant or a potted purple-colored potted plant known as a Moses-in-the-cradle. Oyster plants need sun, as well as, partial shade and need to be watered regularly. This type of plant blooms all year.
