If your query is a little futuristic and you wanna relate to movies like "Back to the Future", then your talking about the gizmo where pressing the 'rewind selector' button takes you back in time! pretty unreal and probably impossible in the real scheme of things.

This is just the proper name for those machines that used to be used to rewind VHS and Beta videotapes. The problem was people would always wear out their rewind gears in VCRs faster than the other gears. The rewind selctors saved these gears. They were made obsolete by the invention of DVDs.

Hmm... pretty vague question. Are you talking about the music Band "Sublime". 'Rewind Selector' is a collection of songs that were built from the 1990s related to the band. The last time I knew it had over a 100 songs in it. It even has an official MySpace page

Video and audio cassette players and recorders would have a selector button for rewinding cassette tapes. This functionality is necessary as cassette reels wind the magnetic tape containing sound or visual data from one spindle to the other as they are played.

Rewind Selector is loved and it an album. It will contain mixing sounds. It is a sound creating machine, extremely prolific, and diverse in musical taste. They certainly had their own sound and were able to incorporate music that would otherwise be dichotomous

There is no such object as a rewind selector. However it is a punk band who is kind of famous.
