This is an ultrasound of the kidneys to look for any problems in your kidneys including stones, blockages, features of disease, tumors (lumps) and more. Its a painless procedure and takes about 15 minutes.

Anything "renal" refers to your kidneys. This particular sonogram (or ultrasound) is a non-invasive procedure to look at the structure of your kidneys and to check for abnormalities or stones. The technician will put a conductive gel on your skin and then use a wand that produces sound waves to visualize your kidneys on a monitor.

A renal sonogram is a sonogram of some one's kidneys. It may be done to diagnose kidney stones, blockages, enlargement from infection, undue swelling of one or the other kidney, and to diagnose other problems. A standard sonogram machine is used on the back or front of the torso to view the kidneys.

It is a test of your kidney using a sonic imaging system. Waves of ultrasonic sound are sent into your body. The returning echoes are analyzed to create an image of your kidneys. Using this image a doctor or other medical professional can determine the state of your kidneys

Also known as a renal ultrasound. Your doctor wants to visualize the kidneys and their blood supply to check for blockages of any kind. It is similar to any other ultrasound in that a gel substance is applied to your skin and a probe is rolled over your skin.
