All the clocks on the radios work the same. The difference is the radio. You need to hear the sound of the radio before you buy, or read the reviews.

I personally use an Emerson Smart set clock radio and I like it since it sets itself when you plug it in. Sony does make excellent products but they cost more than I like to spend. The sony you mentioned looks like a nice clock radio as well as it also has a big display.

I currently have the Sony ICF-C180 Silver Clock Radio and I Personally love it. It has never failed me and I sometimes forget to set it, it still wakes me up some how. You can also put a battery in it so in case of power outage you will not lose your time.

Clock radios arent made long enough for anyone model to be a tried contender. They're all singlechip clocks with batteries and typically a 200 dollar one isnt worth anymore than a 6 dollar one from walmart with battery backup.
