In the wild, raccoons will eat anything they can get their hands on; this includes nuts, eggs, seeds, fruits, insects, frogs and worms. Because raccoons are omnivorous and will eat anything. Raccoons are also very clever and will find ways to open or obtain their food previously thought secure.

They are omnivores that will try to eat most anything. They eat crayfish and other little things they can catch from shallow water, often overturning things to find them. They will eat insects and bird eggs too. Also they eat berries, nuts, and edible plants.
