"Product" generally refers to the result of multiplying things together. These could be, for example, numbers, polynomials, or matrices. Thus the product of two and three is six.

It has several meaning,in elementary algebra,it means to multiple one number with another number,like 2*2,however,in abstract algebra,we consider it as a operator satisfying certain property,the operator didn't necessarily act on number,but also abstract object,for example a permutation.
